Kybella
The first injectable substance that the FDA has approved to treat submental fat, Kybella is designed to dissolve stubborn under-the-chin fat.
Kybella contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring substance in the body that helps break down fat. When solution is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat beneath the chin, it causes the fat cell walls to break down and dissolve. Over several weeks following treatment, your body metabolizes the affected fat cells, reducing the total amount of fat under the chin, leaving the jaw more contoured. A series of 2 to 4 treatments, 6-8 weeks apart may be required to achieves optimal results.

What should I expect?
Prior to your treatment, we will discuss with you the number of treatments you may need to achieve optimal outcome. Most patients require a minimum of three treatments eight weeks apart.
The treatment area will be cleaned, a topical anesthetic will be applied. Several injections in various locations below the chin will be administered with the tiny needle. The injections may sting a little bit. Immediately following treatment, your chin and neck may feel tender or numb. Mild swelling, bruising, redness, and tingling are possible; the side effects typically subside within one week after treatment.
How long does it last?
Because Kybella breaks down individual fat cells in small groups, you will notice a gradual reduction in submental fullness over the course of several treatments.
The results are long-lasting, as long as you maintain your stable weight.
